Two new floors were added to this office tower in order to install a building wide air conditioning system. In developing the office addition, it was determined that more space was available than needed for the mechanical requirements. This extra space was turned into a duplex with offices, a complete catering kitchen and areas for entertaining downstairs plus upstairs a two-bedroom apartment. A large two-story high space with clerestory glass allows indirect light to pour into the middle of the entertaining area. The primary seating is located between twin fireplaces and raised to take advantage of city views. A louvered titanium canopy spans this space providing numerous lighting effects and containing a large number of small high efficiency speakers to create a spectacular audio-visual center.
